Autistic Spectrum Disorder

This workshop is specially designed for teachers, assistants and all practitioners in Early Years/Primary settings.

Despite increasing awareness of Autistic Spectrum Disorder In recent years, these children’s insistence on their own 3Rs (Rules, Routines, and Repetition) still challenges even the most skilful teacher with the child in an inclusive classroom.

You will learn why these children find eye contact difficult, reasons for their difficult behaviours, and how their different sensory system means that they understand the world quite differently from other children.

We will show you how to develop an individualised plan that is fully workable in a busy classroom, and will have dramatic and immediate impact on the child’s ability to concentrate and learn.
