This workshop explores typical and late/disordered development of language in young children.
You will learn:
- How children store and retrieve vocabulary
- The difficulties he may encounter in understanding and using sentences and how to help
- How to assess which sounds are causing difficulties
- How to teach children to tune into sounds, and put sounds together for clear speech
- Clear instructions about how to put right the most common speech problems
- Practical classroom strategies to help him use his language skills more effectively
Naomi will demonstrate simple assessments you can use to pinpoint the difficulties, and show you lots of practical classroom ideas of how to help.
